Dual-trained in Western allopathic medicine and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), Lawrence holds a medical degree (MD equivalency) from the National University of Singapore in Singapore, as well as a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from Samra University in Los Angeles. Prior to moving to the US in the late 1990s, he practiced Family Medicine for almost a decade in both Singapore and Hong Kong.

With 30+ years’ of experience in the healthcare profession, Lawrence offers exceptional insights and clinical acumen in integrative care and holistic healing. His clinical specialties include internal medicine, oncology, autoimmune disorders, and TCM health cultivation, as well as longevity medicine. Drawing from his three decades of experience in patient care and the healing arts, Lawrence utilizes acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition, lifestyle coaching, and various other modalities of TCM to optimize his patients’ health and wellness.

In addition to his clinical practice, Lawrence is also a seasoned educator and has taught classes and supervised clinical interns in various acupuncture schools in Southern California. He is currently a member of the clinical faculty for the postgraduate DAOM doctoral program at Yo San University in Los Angeles. He has also served in various higher education administrative positions including that of Vice President of Academic & Clinical Affairs, as well as the President/Chief Executive Officer at Yo San University.

Lawrence maintains private practices in Beverly Hills, Marina Del Rey, and Torrance, CA. He is also actively engaged in consulting work with acupuncture colleges across the US, and regularly presents continuing education lectures on a variety of clinical topics.
