FAQ
What should I expect during a treatment? Can I be treated for other specific medical conditions?
You should anticipate a much longer and more profoundly deep Savasana (rest). Many people feel more deeply grounded and relaxed. Acupuncture prescriptions are designed to be general and address broad ailments such as stress, anxiety, sleep, and general Immune boosting. While our basic classes are intended for generalized treatment, some classes may be based on a specific treatment goal. For more extensive or specific treatment, private session can address a variety of pains, ailments, and injuries. Please see our links page for more information.

Is Tension Freedom right for me, and can everyone participate?
Acupuncture and Yoga are a wonderful complement to a holistic healthcare regimen including Western Medicine, but is not a substitute. Yoga classes offered will be suitable for most beginners, at a very large range of age and physical fitness. Certain classes may be more advanced, but this will be noted and advertised prior to the class. There are some circumstances in which participation is not suitable. I may not be suitable for people with a history of high blood pressure or heart disease. It is not suitable for individuals who have experienced chest pain when exercising, in the past month, smoke, have high cholesterol, and/or are obese. If you have a bone or joint problem which could be made worse by physical activity, please consult your physician first. Do not start this program if your physician or health care provider advises against it. If you experience faintness, dizziness, pain, or shortness of breath at any time while exercising you should stop immediately. If you think you have a serious or life threatening medical condition or problem, seek emergency care and/or contact your Western Medical physician.
Do we give medical advice?
Follow the medical advice from your primary care physician or treating medical doctor. We will never ask you to go off of any western medications or stop a therapy prescribed by another physician, nor do we offer medical counsel or advice. It is important to talk to your prescribing doctor if you wish to discontinue a prescribed medication or if you are not sure if Yoga and/or Acupuncture are right for you.
